We got to see Marty's cousins Mike & Ellyn and their boys, and enjoyed touring their new home. Oliver loved sharing toys and snacks with Rylan, almost 2, and Collin, almost 5.
It's hard to get three young boys to pose for a photo and smile at the same time.
Really hard.
We enjoyed seeing some of Marty's friends that he grew up with, including Chi, with his son Bryant, who is just a few months older than Oliver.
The last time Oliver and Bryant met. Oliver was almost 3 months old. Amazing how they've grown!
The whole crew with their wives (except this wife, who was behind the camera!): Tanya, Chi and Bryant; Oliver and Marty; Mark and Betsy. Mark and Chi were in our wedding.
They are great friends, and hope it's not another 2 years before we see them all again!
Back at Grandma's house, being silly in his new teepee pirate tent (because pirates slept in teepees?).
Grandma was being silly too!
We tried to get a "three generations" picture.
It wasn't easy; Oliver kept trying to run away!
Finally, perfect!!
(Charlene, I'll send you a better file of this to print)
Saying goodbye to Grandma.
It took days to recap our adventures in Kankakee because we had a lot of good times. Thanks again Grandma, Pop-pop and Uncle Dan! We're looking forward to our next visit!
Next we were on to St. Louis!
